One agent per server. One console for the whole estate.

A signed agent is installed on each database server. It reads its schedule from the CareVault console, runs native SQL Server or MySQL backups, verifies and compresses them, transfers them over SFTP, applies retention, and posts a timestamped log of each step back to the console.
